Dr. John Piper is coming to the Central Coast in March 2008!
We are pleased to announce that Dr. John Piper, renowned author, Pastor for Preaching at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota and daily speaker on the radio program Desiring God, will be our guest speaker in March 2008. He is the author of more than 40 books and has been preaching and teaching for more than 25 years.
The Desiring God Regional Conference will be held at the Performing Arts Center on the Cal Poly Campus in San Luis Obispo on Friday night, March 28 and Saturday morning, March 29. Dr. Piper will be teaching on the theme from his book "Don’t Waste Your Life." We encourage every church to participate by attending the conference and then follow up with the materials that we’ve made available on our website (specially priced) for Bible study groups.
CCEPN will follow this event by sponsoring an evening with Dr. Piper for high school and college age students on Sunday, March 30 at the Mott Gym on the Cal Poly campus. The topic will be the same but focused to this age group. Admission is FREE. Arrive early to ensure a seat as the doors will close when capacity is reached.
